Heavy Metals and Toxin Testing

Cadmium is a toxin known to cause cancer. It comes from food grown in our soil. Cadmium is not regulated and hardly tested in our soil.

Heavy Metals and Essential Elements Testing

At Custom 2 U MedSpa, we are committed to your well-being by offering comprehensive Heavy Metals and Essential Elements Testing. This advanced diagnostic service is designed to evaluate your body’s exposure to toxic heavy metals and assess essential mineral levels crucial for optimal health.

Did you know that cadmium is carcinogenic and their are no FDA regulations on it? Very little testing is done to see the levels in the soil. Cadmium is found in food. Who is at risk? Everyone, especially vegetarians. Our testing detects harmful metals such as  cadmium, mercury, lead, and arsenic, which can accumulate from environmental factors, diet, or lifestyle. These toxins can disrupt various systems in the body, leading to issues such as fatigue, weakened immunity, and neurological symptoms. Identifying and addressing heavy metal toxicity is essential to restoring balance and health.

The Experience

Heavy metals and essential elements testing can be done discreetly with an at-home testing kit, eliminating the need for a cumbersome all-day urine collection.  Alternatively, patients can opt for a dried blood test, allowing them to collect samples in the comfort and privacy of their own homes. This method is simple, nearly painless, and avoids the need for a visit to the phlebotomist.

Procedure Overview:

Consultation

During your consultation, we will discuss your health history, symptoms, lifestyle, and potential exposure to heavy metals or mineral deficiencies. This helps tailor the testing to your specific concerns and needs.

Sample Collection

For the heavy metals test, sample collection can be done conveniently at home using either dried blood or dried urine. • Dried blood collection involves a simple finger prick to place a few drops of blood on a collection card, which dries and remains stable for up to 30 days before mailing. • Dried urine collection requires collecting urine on a filter strip twice a day, which also dries and is stable for 30 days. Both methods are easy, nearly painless, and eliminate the need for lab visits, allowing samples to be mailed directly for analysis

Laboratory Analysis

Once the sample is collected, it is sent to a specialized laboratory where advanced testing is performed to measure the levels of both toxic heavy metals (like mercury, lead, cadmium, and arsenic) and essential elements (like magnesium, zinc, calcium, and selenium). The analysis typically takes a few days to a week to complete.

Results Interpretation

Once the results are received, we will schedule a follow-up consultation to review the findings with you. Our team will explain what the levels of metals and essential elements mean in relation to your health, and whether any imbalances or toxicities are present.

Personalized Treatment Plan

Based on your results, we will create a customized treatment plan to help you detoxify from heavy metals or restore essential mineral levels. This plan may include dietary changes, supplements, IV therapy, or other treatments to support your body’s natural detoxification processes and enhance overall health.

Follow-up and Monitoring

We will monitor your progress through follow-up appointments to assess the effectiveness of the treatment and make any necessary adjustments to your plan. Retesting may be recommended after a period of time to ensure that your body has returned to a healthy balance.
